Climbing, mountains and wild places have always been central to my heart. A love that germinated amidst Cornish zawns took hold exploring mountains in Scotland, the Alps, the Himalayas.

Rock, ice, snow, bog – far away or close to home – it matters little which. For me, it’s about unique moments, a quickening heartbeat and feeling 100% alive.

My other love is for words. Crafting them with care to suit the moment, whether that be technical know-how, cathartic soul-wrangling, or simply for the joy of how they sound rolling around your head.

And of course …  the wonderful privilege and distraction of two daughters to briefly nurture, and now let fly …
